New APAP user - looking to dial it in.

New APAP user - looking to dial it in.
Hi there!

Thanks for take the time to read. New APAP user here using the ResMed AirSense 11. Using full face mask (I breath through my nose) F20 as of now.

Lofta at home sleep study showed AHI of 4.1 but RDI of 7.9 (WatchPat 2) with the lowest desat at 88% (once or twice) and average at 93%.

I've had the machine for a few nights - have adjusted well to sleeping with the mask, but wanting to fine tune & get advice where needed.

I assume I am dealing with some flow limitations at this point. My AHI has been low (<1) which is great, but looking at the graphs I am wondering if there is some fine tuning I can do. Let me know if there is anything else I can post to help. TIA!

Flow limits drive up pressure. EPR helps it BUT your settings only allow you 1 instead of the 3 EPR is st at.

I would suggest you try min 7 to allow the EPR to work.

Settings
Min 7
EPR FULL TIME
EPR 3
Apnea (80-100%) 10 seconds, Hypopnea (50-80%) 10 seconds, Flow Limits (0-50%) not timed  Cervical Collar - Dealing w DME - Chart Organizing

As usual I agree with Stacey. I’ll also add set your pressure as he said, but set the range to 7-15 EPR 3 full-time. That way we can see how the machine adjusts to the remaining flow limitations or other events to which it needs to respond and we can make recommendations based on the response.
