I do not know why I am getting so many CAs or if I should even be worried about them in the first place. I am also not sure if my leaks are at an acceptable level (I'm using P30i cushions). Please help

Worried about CA events
Hello, I've been on CPAP therapy for almost 3 weeks now. My AHI hovers around 2 to under 1 with a couple of 3s thrown in. I have not experienced the life-changing difference some people speak of. I had a split night study done and was prescribed a pressure of 6cm from the titration part.
I do not know why I am getting so many CAs or if I should even be worried about them in the first place. I am also not sure if my leaks are at an acceptable level (I'm using P30i cushions). Please help

RE: Worried about CA events
@rizzmed,
Welcome to the board rizzmed! First off good job on doing your homework and getting the OSCAR screens configured for folks to analyze and chime in on. Be very wary of the CA flag marked by Resmed devices. It is a Clear Airway event, not necessarily a "Central Apnea" There are many reasons for the flag, one of which is Central Apnea, the only way to discern is close examination of the data. Don't start making machine adjustments until you have become adept at discerning the difference in the types of CA events. Doing so assuming all CA events are Centrals can very much degrade the overall efficacy of your treatment. People far more skilled than I will be coming along shortly to give you their opinions.

RE: Worried about CA events
rizzmed,
Did your sleep report show Clear Airway events? If you have a copy of your report, please post it here for review. Right now, I wouldn't worry too much over the CA's showing up on your graphs. Many people experienced "treatment emergent" CA's when first starting therapy. They usually lessen in time. https://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph...tral_Apnea
