Another OSCAR cannot find data thread - with a twist.

Cuppa - One reason I was suggesting that you set your time back to UTC or even UTC-2 (12 hours offset for you) is to see if there is a problem in the OSCAR code that doesn't show up until you go positive in time zones.

Thanks Red, understood, but there is no way to adjust time zone, only the time.

RE: Another OSCAR cannot find data thread - with a twist.
I have now tried creating a different test profile.

Results are identical to what has been occurring.

Last night I had 2 sessions & did not do a 3rd 'workaround' session this morning.

Data uploaded to the new test profile showed only the first of the 2 sessions, ie. not the last one.
Data uploaded to the existing profile - exactly the same.
Only difference is that the new test profile does not show historical Oximeter data.

I have since created another 'workaround session' & then tried uploading data to each of the two profiles in OSCAR again.
As expected both profiles then showed both of last night's sessions & identical session times.

EDIT: Just to double check, I later put the original 2Gb FAT16 SD card into the machine. It took a short time to write data onto it from the time it was last used a few weeks ago, but having done so worked ok. I carried out another test session to check whether OSCAR would find it (in the new test profile).
Nope, nothing further was added to OSCAR. (ie. last session still missing).

@Cuppa - What version of OSCAR were you using before you updated to v1.4.0?

I've started poking through the git commit logs to see what changed when...

Hi pholynyk,

Thank goodness for 'Time Machine' - I was able to look back to mid last year - at a debug.txt file.

It was 1.3.0    +ee052062  (darwin x86_64)   Built with Qt 5.12.10 on Oct 16 2021

Hope that gets you in the ballpark.

Cuppa,

I checked renaming "OSCAR 2.app" back to OSCAR.app and it worked fine. No problems at all on my end. But I would suggest holding off on that for the moment.

Formatting for FAT16 is possible using Terminal (diskutil) but is limited to 2GB so there would be a lot of wasted space on your SD card. Since it's working with FAT32 It doesn't seem to be a problem. If I recall correctly your SD card only had ~41MB of data on it.

Lets see if pholynyk finds anything.....

Not yet... lack of sleep has inhibited my concentration... perhaps I should try working in the middle of the night...

Ah right-o.  It's a bummer when sleep is evasive. Hope it improves for you soon.  I'll check back once in a while but getting some good nights in (without working!) is the priority. Thanks for answering.
