Anyone seen it/tried it? Thoughts.

Man...the things you run across when people start talking about cpap. I'm not sure how good of an idea this is. Any thoughts?

I hadn't heard about the oils in years. If you have an oil, just dab some on a cotton ball or old filter and place it near the CPAP intake. You can control the intensity by moving it closer or further away.

That would be the same as I do with a jar of Vicks when I'm a little stuffy. I have no idea if it actually helps...or hurts...but it helps in my mind.

I don’t use anything that connects to the machine and do what Red mentions by dabbing some on one of the gazillion spare filters and placing it a few inches from the air intake. I have a few oils I use occasionally. I wouldn’t use essential oils every day but that’s just me.

Hope this isn't off topic to ask here, but David Clark, the OP, mentioned it. He said he puts Vicks near the air intake to help stuffy nose problems. Is this OK to do? My husband has terrible allergies that nothing several specialists have been able to tame. His nose plugs up at night and there goes any help from his Airsense 10 CPAP when he breaths from his mouth. We haven't tried the Vicks or Mentholatum near the air intake yet.

I have an essential oil blend called Breathe that I picked up on Amazon. It has helped with occasional stuffiness and reminds me a bit of Vicks.
