BiPAP ASV Settings check possible?

BiPAP ASV Settings check possible?
My ResMed BiPAP ASV machines are set 11 (inhale) / 5 (exhale). These settings were determined over ten years ago.

How can I find out if these settings are correct for me NOW?

Thanks

You would need to download OSCAR, the free report tool so you can post an attachment of the daily detail regarding usage. OSCAR gets the data from an SD card that would have been in your ASV overnight to capture data. I've used an ASV for 2 years but not recently, just saying this because I know some things that can help. However we must see what's going on therapy wise. And seeing that you only have 2 setting numbers indicates all the more that we need to see what's going on.

Afibapnea, the settings you describe would be a VPAP-S mode, fixed pressure bilevel at 11/5 pressure (PS 6.0). If this is an Aircurve 10, we need to know the mode, EPAP or EPAP min, and EPAP max, PS min and PS max which are settings for ASV or ASVauto mode.

RE: BiPAP ASV Settings check possible?
Why am I having so many issues using the forum!

I normally like to Reply using a quote, which on another forum I do by highlighting a section of text (on someone else's reply) and clicking on the equivalent of [Reply with Quote] or by highlighting a section of text (on someone elses' replies) and clicking on the equivalent of [Reply with Multiple Quotes]. Then I go to those quotes and reply to the single or multiple entries.
Neither works for me here.

I am going to:
1) Locate and format 2 SD cards and insert them into my machines.
2) Download Oscar

then I'll get back and tackle the ResMed machine. Thanks for your help.

RE: BiPAP ASV Settings check possible?
I just followed the link on Sleeprider’s post [Download OSCAR Software]. After downloading, I get a message saying “OSCAR-1.5.3-Win64.exe isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust OSCAR-1.5.3-Win64.exe before you…See more”
I get the part about trusting .exe files. What I don’t get is that when clicking on a link to [Download OSCAR Software] that I would get the message: “OSCAR-1.5.3-Win64.exe isn’t commonly downloaded.”

Did I do something wrong this time?

No, It's Microsoft's way of saying we didn't pay them extortion money.

You need to ignore the warning and install anyway. Microsoft charges for software to be "trusted", and this is a non-profit, shareware.

Oh good, humor, I need that   Oh-jeez

I have rewritten this post four times already. I am going to have to compose all my posts in another program, first.

I have tried downloading OSCAR 5 times. Each time the response is:
Unconfirmed ######.crdownload       <Date modified> CRDOWNLOAD File       23032 KB

I’ve deleted those instances and, using Sleeprider’s link, attempted again to download OSCAR.
Again…no download…no expected .exe file…instead IMMEDIATELY
Unconfirmed ######.crdownload       <Date modified> CRDOWNLOAD File       23032 KB

I’ve restarted the computer, and done a [Quick] Win Defender virus scan…clean. Now I’m doing a full scan.

I know how to use a computer. I’ve been operating computers since 1969.
I’m not blaming anyone else for my problems, least of all forum administredors.
I’m not blaming forum software, I now realize I should not be clicking on a tool (like “insert an image” and get a window asking me to insert a URL). Instead, I should rely on Crimson Nape’s instructions for any forum-related questions.
I would be more than happy, and probably correct, to blame Microsoft, Win11, and its partner in crime, OneDrive,                           or Google.

My current question: Is there an alternative way to download OSCAR?

RE: BiPAP ASV Settings check possible?
CRDOWNLOAD files are supposed to be a Google Chrome temporary download file. Try a different browser.
