Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
My airsense 10 did not come with an SD card. The supplier (as usual) was no help. I tried one I bought at Walmart, but the CPAP just say "SD card error, remove card".
Any ideas?

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
What size card did you purchase? Did you check to see if in is write enabled? Make sure that it is formatted to a FAT or FAT32 format.

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
The SD Card says microSDHC. I don't see anything else. Can I get what you are referencing at Best Buy. (although I am an engineer, I am not computer techy) Thanks for the help.

I believe what Crimson means by write enable is there is a little slide switch on the side of the card it should say locked oe unlock yoh want it in unlock.

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
The microSDHC card is approximately 3/8" by 1/2", but the AirSense 10 tales the older standard size SD (or SDHC) card, which is 7/8" by 1¼". The microSD cards usually come with an adapter for use with older devices, which you need to use here.
Assuming you did use the adapter, what else could be a problem? Well, microSD cards come in very large capacities, but the AirSense only allows for a 32GB capacity maximum (They originally came with 2GB cards.). Or, the microSD card only fits completely inside the adapter one way - both sets of contacts away from you and facing the same way --- what an awkward way to say something so easy to show in a picture! Likewise, inserting the adapter into the machine - the contacts face the back of the machine and get inserted first. Failing all that, it may be that the AirSense requires that the card be formatted as FAT or FAT32 before the first use (I thought it would do it if required.)... or I've heard of fake cards, although I've never run into one myself. If you still have problems, come on back, and we'll try again, maybe with pictures. Sorry if this seems overly simplistic... it's like trying to fix computer things by long distance phone call.

After 6 years of college and 25 years and a professional engineer, I did not know you had to stick that little chip into the SD card for it to work. Thanks for all your help.

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
I have the same machine, and mine did not come with an SD card, either. So does the GB size of the card matter? When looking today, the smallest I could find was 16GB.

RE: Resmed Airsense 10 SD card
16 GB card should be OK, just make sure it is an SD card, not a micro SD card. There are adaptors but why bother?

Look for a dusty package in the batteries aisle at the grocery store? |
