[CPAP] buying a CPAP from the US for use in Australia.

Be aware, that if planning to claim back a portion of the expense from health insurance, you will need to purchase it in Australia. I'm with Teacher's HEALTH and this is one of their stipulations which are normally common amongst all the providers.

Any recommend US stores for used CPAP's that may offer free shipping? I have used secondwind years ago, wondering if there is more choice these days?

I think most of the stores on the supplier list will ship internationally, but it would not take a lot of work to send a query on your specific needs and get an estimate. A search for international shipping CPAP shows returns from 1800CPAP, TheCPAPshop, CPAPspecials, CPAPman and others.

Thank you again Sleeprider. I had been looking at CPAPspecials but cant find any reference to them being legit.  There prices seem to good to be true and offer free shipping and a 2 year warranty with free return shipping.
Had anybody used them??

I have no objection to a thread inquiring about experience with CPAPspecials. Remember no direct links to DME are allowed, but if anyone has used them they will know who you're talking about.

I too have bought several "gently used" Resmeds from them several years ago but looking at their site lately their prices have skyrocketed, whether that's to do with the Ongoing Philips debacle and lately DeVilbiss exiting I don't know. After factoring in freight etc I don't see much advantage over buying locally personally.

I ended up buying from CPAPspecials, they responded to my email quickly.  Gave me a little confidence boost.  Received my DHL shipping notice within 24h.   So hopefully I get delivered what I ordered, which was crazy cheap for a brand new Aircurve.

Keep us posted. Their prices are great, and as you said, too good to be true. If they turn out to be reliable, we might want to get them on the Supplier List.

My machine came today, amazing service to be delivered in exactly 1 week.  Have turned it on to confirm it's working and zero hour.   Will set it up over the next couple of days and post in my thread for some bipap settings help
