Even Chinese made machines jumping on the band wagon, their prices in Australia are treble of US prices

But only Resmed is an Australian based company with subsidiaries in other countries??

Sorry, I just can't see how Resmed being a locally based company can't sell to AUSTRALIAN customers at the same price as they sell their products in the USA. If it's not "price gouging" then it's something pretty close!

Time someone got on to South Australian Federal Parliament Independent Senator Nick Xenephon about all the companies and their unfair pricing for their 'sleep apnea' products to Australian citizens, this would be right up his alley!!

Yes Mutineer, thats exactly what I was thinking of doing. If anyone would try and stick it up them it would be Xenephon. I will sit down over the next week to sit down and get something down on paper to send to him. If anyone on here would like to contribute there thoughts for me to put down on paper i would appreciate your input, just send me a PM. Im more than happy to put something together but being relatively new to all this I would want to make sure I present accurate facts.

Got my machine today from US Supplier #10. 5 days to get it here, excellent service by Fedex. Now wait till Friday for mask to arrive.
I ended up getting A10 Autoset for him as they were out of stock of the for her machine (Manufacturer delay). As we are going on a cruise my wife has said she has noticed a huge improvement in me while I had the hire machine, so under threat of death I had to have a machine to take away with me, so no choice really, LOL.

I'm disappointed my machine cant communicate with big brother and send my stats, hahaha, not. Probably the best thing about having a US machine no data reporting which I'm really happy about, dont like big brother watching.
I'm sure with the guidance from more experienced user on here with the collective knowledge i will get even better results in the future. I will give regular updates on here about the machine and performance.

Very simple, US market such huge market and dominated by insurance
For every CPAP sold in US, another CPAP sold in the rest of world
US = Rest of the world ... give and take CPAP or two

Travel: https://www.fphcare.com.au/sleep-apnea/e...port/faqs/

Q: Can I travel to other countries with my Fisher & Paykel Healthcare CPAP unit?
A: Yes.
Fisher & Paykel Healthcare’s CPAP machines are lightweight and compact, allowing for easy transport with the custom carry-bag. These units have a universal voltage feature that allows them to operate on any domestic AC mains voltage (which is between 100 and 240V), and with the use of the appropriate pin/plug adapter the unit can operate in most countries. When going through Customs you may wish to have a letter from your doctor stating the use you have for the CPAP unit.

Note: Ensure the water chamber is empty of water before packing away your CPAP unit for travel.

Welcome

You,re asking the wrong person, I'm in favor of ResMed

ResMed machines report more data on the screen and on the SD card
Also uses an SD card, supported by ResScan and SleepyHead software
You can download both from this board for free
