RE: Therapy Thread: Looking for advice
@eok361

Ex v-com tester here. Just curious, isn't the v-com supposed to be managing those flow limitations? No offence intended, genuine question.

Gideon is steering you in the right direction, he's one of the best here.

RE: Therapy Thread: Looking for advice
i'm open to any suggestions from the good folks here. i was just wondering if i would do the epr in conjunction with the v-com, or remove the v-com.

it was a minimal charge to try it. i'm put way more money into trying to get an effective mask.

RE: Therapy Thread: Looking for advice
Using EPR would defeat the purpose of the V-Com, since its operation causes the complete opposite pressure differential. EPR reduces EPAP pressure, whereas V-Com adds EPAP pressure.

I missed that you use as VCOM

Please try without the VCOM.

here are last night's numbers. they appear to be better, but the occasional leaks bug me. but this is a whole lot better. the zoomed in flow rate shows some of the molar looking tops of waves. any clue what that is?

i guess i can only add 3 images per post.

cheyne stokes in oscar update
hi,

i upgraded to oscar v 1.5.1 last night and this morning's report has a new cheyne stokes row.

has this always been there? maybe i didn't notice it before, or didn't have it enabled.

RE: cheyne stokes in oscar update
It will only appear if your CPAP has reported a CSR event in the imported data. Resmed uses the CSR label to cover periodic breathing. Seeing a CSR event is, in most cases, not necessarily a real CSR.

Nevertheless, CSR should be a reason for concern, especially if you know you don't have periodic breathing.

RE: cheyne stokes in oscar update
but it shows as zero in the report. i'm confused.

i saw the preference list, and it's in there. i wonder if it just activated it with the update. i'll have to check past data reports.

edit: going backward in all my data it now shows up as an item. but no reports of any events in the last two weeks.

i'm going with the update enabled it in the list.
