[CPAP] eok361 - Therapy Thread
RE: eok361 - Therapy Thread
hey, and I noticed the tidal volume and the minute volume and concur that you are probably alright with good FL situation. Zero OAs and low Hs is also great, you are in the right pressure band.

One thing that might increase the tidal volume is to add EPR. Right now it is CPAP, but can be APAP with min 10.6 and max 10.6 and EPR 2, but only to see if that raises your median Tidal Volume.

Reviewing some of your posts, it looks like you might have already tried an EPR on, and maybe at EPR of 2, so ignore unless you notice from your past a higher VT when you used EPR of 2 or 3.

Your tidal volume was better in Nov 14 chart, so it looks like even EPR of 1 was helpful.

latest update:

the wife is perplexed with all the machine/mask combinations i keep trying; but i'm just trying to get the best sleep i  can.

i recently came across a very lightly used aircurve 10 vauto, and decided to give it a try. the first night with it was awful. i switched back to cpap mode, but after a couple weeks, i thought i'd try bi-level again.

i also switched to a n30i/p30i combo. last night was the pillows, but i will also use the cradle, if my nostrils are obliterated by the pillows. last night was fine with the pillows.

i have it on auto mode, with a high trigger. the numbers are 6min, 14.6 max. ir looks like i could both raise the lower, and lower the max; but i'm not sure.

these charts are from last night. i'm also attaching the full night sleepHQ file.

to remind anyone. i am a full back sleeper. i cannot train myself to sleep on my side. i do what i can to mitigate any positional problems. i use a relatively flat pillow and wear a soft cervical collar.

i'm thinking the max pressure should be down near the 11cmh2o level, but am open to input.

thanks.
