Cannot get my mother to wear a cervical collar:
The date is wrong in Oscar, but I have her on the flattest pillow she can handle and she says she is mostly sleeping on her side... Is there anything else to try here to get these events under control?
RE: Cannot get my mother to wear a cervical collar:
If she doesn't prefer to wear a collar, you could try to find something close to the size of a collar (and made of a material that she can tolerate against her skin - won't irritate or cause too much heat) and try to have her keep it between her chin and chest during side sleeping. I have tried a "C" shaped travel pillow before. A rolled up towel might work. Or anything she has around the house that might do the trick. Foam is nice and flexible. She could even try placing another pillow between her chin and chest.

Chinstrap? The knightsbridge one is the best, in my opinion. I have no financial affiliation. Many patients prefer the chinstrap over the SCC.

Pressure range here is 6.0 to 10.0 with Cflex 2. Since most events are obstructive, you could start titrating higher pressures. I don't know that you will resolve all of this within the "comfort zone", but she probably will tolerate higher pressure. I would suggest increasing the pressure range by 2-cm, moving pressure to 8.0 to 12.0 and see if you can observe an objective improvement. I think that should help. Leaks need improvement, but remember the part of the leak graph to watch is the lower line that represents the unintentional leak with a Philips. The upper total leak like is not a concern. I know you probably can't change this, but a significant reduction in CA and H events would occur with a Resmed.
