Concerns of Diagnosis After 1 Week
I got my ResMed Autoset 11 a little over a week ago after my diagnosis of Mild Mixed Apnea (sleep study reported an AHI of 7). I feel like after the first 2-3 days I got used to the mask and the pressure, especially since I took 1hr/day for the first few days to train on the pressured sleeping while awake.
Some notes about myself: I mouth-breath at night. When lying horizontally, my nasal passage has a tendency to close (almost feels like it inflames shut). I am not classified as overweight, and I'm under 40 years old. I do suffer from pretty loud snoring, which the CPAP has mostly relieved per my spouse.
I've been using OSCAR to both record the data as well as act as a sleep journal and write down notes. The data in OSCAR has been all over the place. I've had some nights where I was sub 5 AHI, and a few nights easily eclipsing 10 AHI, all with the same settings, same mask placement, etc (as well as one reported CSR event that has me mildly concerned).
As a note, the pressure resets are me fully waking up and resetting the machine to mark how many times that occurs. This number of complete arousal is pretty normal for me (pre-CPAP I was fully waking up 1-6 times/night).
I've attached the summary page, my worst night of sleep per OSCAR, and my best night of sleep per OSCAR. For the worst night, I had to take a benadryl due to really bad seasonal allergies, but it was done 6 hours before sleep.
