RE: Conducts noise from TV audio
Thanks for this great reply
I have thought of the wiring possibility and only tried moving the machine to a different room. It only reduced the volume of the noise. The apartment building I am in, is only 7 years old. You mentioned aluminum hats. I thought of trying to wrap the machine in aluminum foil. Not sure if the aluminum will act as an antenna or wave insulator. My focus now is on the tubing. I can feel vibrations and and a pulsing feeling when I hold the tubing in my hand. I am going to try several types of tubing covers. Just read a thread that suggest I try different tubing diameter sizes. Lots of things to try. Thank you and all that have posted replies.

Update on sound waves/ audio waves traveling thru CPAP tubing:
Thank you again for all the comments and suggestions. I have not yet solved the problem. I have tried using a latex tube and it reduced the sound a bit. If I hold the latex tube in my hand, I can feel the pulsing of the sound. If I squeeze the tube in my hand it greatly reduced the sound. I have tried to squeeze the tube with clamps, tape, rubber, twisting and aluminum wraps but to no success. I turned off the modem, took the modem out and turned off the wifi and still no success. I have purchased and inline air noise filter and that didn't work. I have inserted aluminum foil inside of several different tubes and no success. I have inserted fine copper mesh inside the tube and that seems to work but this interferes with the air flow and air pressure. I have tried two machines if the same brand and model and that didn't work so I guess the next step is to try another brand and model CPAP machine. |
