Couple questions

I've been using a BiPAP machine for a little over 5 years. 
Had a Phillips machine and was last using the P 10 nasal pillow mask with no problems - no major leaks according to the machine.
I got a new machine in July - Air Curve 10 and am having a problem with the P 10 mask on it.
Feels like I can't get enough air, can't expel the air and have quite a bit of leakage.
If I use my old Nuance Pro nasal pillow mask - I don't have any problems - but the air stream bothers my wife
Anyone else run into this?
I tried changing my pressures on the machine - didn't really make any difference.

Next question - of course - after changing my pressure (did put the high end back to original) I got a call from the equipment supplier to see how I was doing with the new machine.
She is going to connect to my machine through the modem to check on me - I'm guessing I'll get a nasty call from her if she sees that I changed pressures.
Will she be able to see the history and know that the pressure was changed or does she just see what the current settings are?

Suppliers can check and change your pressure. There are any number of ways you may have encountered the problems you have, and we need to get into some details to figure it out. You were using a Philips BiPAP with P10 pillows. What were the settings on the BiPAP? Are they the same on the Aircurve? Do you have an Aircurve S or Aircurve VAuto? What size nasal pillows?

I see you're using Resscan, you may want to also look a t #Sleepyhead as it provides a good detailed look at your therapy and leaks. Best guess on getting enough air is to increase nasal pillow size. This usually works. There are settings on your machine that can be tweaked in addition to pressure, to increase pressure faster, and change timing on inhalation.

I now have the Aircurve 10s. The pressure settings are 10/5 - that is also where the Phillips machine was set.
I do have 1 of the large pillows and will try that tonight. I’ve always used medium pillows on all the masks I’ve tried out.
I was really happy with the P 10 on the Phillps machine - best I had found since they stopped making the GoLife masks. But that all seems to have changed since moving to the ResMed machine.

I read that the trigger setting can be changed - would a higher setting make it react quicker than a lower setting?

Forgot to say that I used to use sleepyhead but didn’t think it worked with the ResMed machine since I saw Rescan on here - I’ll try going back to that!

What do you have the exhale relief set to? With Resmed, it is EPR. With PR, it is x-Flex. I've found I need to change the EPR for different masks, especially nasal pillows.

My machine was at 4 when I got it.
I changed it to 5 because the Phillips was set to that by a tech after I first started using a machine in 2012.
The original script was for 4 so that was in my records when I got the new machine.
I’m expecting the tech who called me last Friday to give me a hard time for changing it to 5 on the new machine?

EPR is available in CPAP mode on your machine. I'm sure Paula missed that you're using a bilevel. You do have the option to turn on EasyBreathe on the Aircurve 10 S. "The Easy-Breathe waveform intelligently recreates a patient’s individual breathing pattern, so breathing feels more natural and therapy is more comfortable." I use vauto mode, so I have not tried this feature, but might be worth investigating.
