Oximeter Sensitivity
I have recently purchased a CMS50F to go along wih my Wellue Ring.
Last night I tested both against each other at same time and on the same hand (CMS on ring finger, O2 Ring on thumb). I see that the Ring's spo2 is generally a bit higher which I can kind of understand (algorithm diffs, etc). What I don't understand is the difference in terms of the rises and drops. The CMS shows large quick changes while the Ring is much smoother.
There is a difference in recording times with the CMS measuring every second and the Ring every 4. That does not explain it to me, or at least I don't understand how that could make a difference.
Any help for my understanding would be greatly appreciated. My original sleep study had even larger swings in the 02 levels than the CMS shows; I am tending to not believe that my body would have such quick rises and falls over any substantial length of time.
Thanks so much, this community has helped me really understand what is going on with my sleep issues.
You can see the comparison below, the scales are different but I put a line showing where 90 is on both.
