Dreamstation (1) problem

Dreamstation (1) problem
PR has released a letter stating the for various reasons, heat, UV, Ozone, the sound isolating foam can deteriorate and drop INTO the blower.  From the blower it goes to you and your lungs.  The telling part is they consider this to be such a problem that they have prohibited their dealers from selling and DS1 (and many other products) effective immediately.  Oddly at the same time the DS2 is now available for sale and it does NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM.

The question to ask is how long have they known about this problem and why they didn't let their users (us) know about it when they found out? Really odd that they quit selling their other products when they released the DS2, the same time the notification went out.

Does anyone have an actual copy of this letter?  I know Lefty did a video on it.

I don't know any info, to be able to help you.

It sure seems that the ozone, etc. "cleaners" that are on the market are causing this degradation.

And PR's response (as you summarized above) seems ambivalent of those "cleaners'" part they're playing. It makes me wonder if PR is in kahoots with any of the "cleaners" companies.

I find it ironic that I came to this board (after a long hiatus) looking for info on a problem I am having with my "new" Dreamstation Auto CPAP machine and find this thread.    Thinking-about
