Dreamstation whining noise
The other day I woke up to my dreamstation making a very audible whining noise almost like a whistle.. I traced it down to the filters. Filters in, noise, no filter, no noise. Sleepyhead showed mant VS during that time. I put new filters in and there were no problems for 2 days. Now it is back. The graph shows the VS and when I pulled the filters out it stopped. The machine is about a year old. Any ideas on what may be wrong? I do have a water manometer and after work I will play with that.

Just a guess, but you may be using aftermarket filters that are a slightly different thickness. This may be holding the retaining door open slightly. The whine won't occur through the filter, but is more likely at the filter cover door or filter frame. You could play with some tape to seal the edges of the filter frame and see if that helps, but I suspect changing back to OEM or a different filter may solve your problem.

remove the HEPA filter if you're using that. Try using just the pollen filter.

I've begun insisting my DME send me Phillips brand filters only.
