Editing Profile Information [OSCAR]
Running latest build of Oscar (1.1.0) on Windows 10.
When I go in to try to edit profile information, either from the pull down menu or Edit Profile when the profiles are listed, Oscar will not let me edit any of the information. For example I need to get rid of a second capital letter on the name and to change the birthday. Oscar will allow me to highlight the information but not let me do anything.
I did see the wiki on changing profile names, but if that is the only method of doing it, then why do we have the options in the software?
Many thanx,
Homer

As you note, the name field is protected and cannot be changed in Edit Profile. While being able to select the name string allows you to copy it, it is arguable how much that is worth. Perhaps the name field should not look the same way when editing a profile as opposed to creating a new one.
I can change Date of Birth and other fields in Edit Profile without any problem.

RE: Editing Profile Information [OSCAR]
Guy,
When I go back to change the DOB field, it will not let me enter the numbers like I could when I first set it up. I found the only way I can change it is click on the arrow button that brings up the calendar, then hold down the arrows on the top and scroll thru the months until I get to the date I want. Only problem is the date that was loaded ended up with the year 6159. Evidently it didn't like the leading 0 in the day.

Interesting: if I click on the DOB field I cannot edit it directly but have to use the calendar. However, if I click on the last name field and then tab into the DOB field, I can type the date normally. I put in a date of 01/02/1955 and the date and year showed up properly.
This same behavior (tab into ok to edit directly, click on field and have to use calendar) happens both with a new profile and when editing an existing profile.
Not sure why you got a bad year. I have not been able to reproduce that.

We have a variety of other suggestions for the New/Edit Profile dialog. I have added a pointer to this thread to some issues to look at later.

RE: Editing Profile Information [OSCAR]
Has anyone discovered a fix to this profile editing issue in Oscar?
My full name is at the top of my Daily view, and when I take a screen shot to post on the Forum it appears at the top of the page. Since I prefer to remove my last name, I have to take the screen shot into Paint to erase my last name. I bit of an annoyance. So if anyone knows a fix, I'd appreciate knowing about it.
Thanks, Hal

GuyScharf, I'm not sure what you're saying. Are there fixes or numerous complaints?

RE: Editing Profile Information [OSCAR]
No, there are not numerous complaints, nor have there been fixes. The questions are primarily about "what is the profile data good for?" as most of the profile data is not used at this time. You've discovered the main use of the identifying information -- to appear on the Statistics page and printed reports. And that can be turned off with an option in the View menu.

RE: Editing Profile Information [OSCAR]
I have the latest version 1.4.0. When I try to open Oscar it goes to the profile page and and at the far right it tells me to enter or create a profile. My profile is on the top line but it won't allow me to select it. I've uploaded last night's data but it won't go to the graph page or respond to F5 key.
This is the first time I've had a problem like this. Should I delete the program and data files and try to start over? Any help would be much appreciated.
