hello dear members , I am Robert from the Netherlands. I am recently diagnosed with heavy Apnea. now I finally know why I was so tired for long time. April 8th I will receive a cpap machine. but as I already find out they will give me the Philips dreammaker. the reviews on this device is horrible and I am trying to get another device as they also can arrange the resmed airsense 10. searching trough the net my eyes catcht the Prismasoft by Löwestein (weinmann). I think this device is good but I am not sure. can anyone tell me which device is silent, reliable and the best on the market? all these thing are new for me as I now have to learn to sleep with a cpap device. thanks and I hope to get some answers..

Without any doubt, the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset is the choice if the user wishes to make use of Oscar. First, it is known to be available, and it is a smaller, more compact machine that has been shown by users of Philips, Lowenstein and other machines to be a quiet, reliable and comfortable choice. All the machines have something to offer, and Lowenstein is respected for its build quality, however it is unlikely that most members on Apnea Board are familiar enough with the machine to be helpful, if you have problems. The manufacturer does provide a good software as an alternative to Oscar. The simple answer is, the Resmed is known to be more consistently effective and more comfortable to more users than any other brand we have seen. The Autoset algorithm prevents event rather than reacts to them, and the exhale pressure relief (EPR) feature is a true bilevel implementation that has proven therapeutic application in resolving flow limitation, RERA and hypopnea. The Autoset has several optional modes (standard, soft, for-her) that can customize therapy and minimize sleep disruption.

I recently bought a ResMed AutoSet for her. It took quite a while for people here to convince me. I'm sorry I waited!

I hope that the person has a choice of machines.

I've used cpap for over 30 years. My treatment is so much better after listening to the advisors here. And, frankly, the help I received establishing settings on my new machine was absolutely wonderful.

So for the person that asked the question in a PM I must comment that the recommendations have really helped me and I hope that you will learn from my experience.
