What Is Autoset (ResMed) 10 and Can It Be Disabled?
I use an Resmed 10 non autoset, which just warned of 22,000 run hours, but it still runs. If the pump failed, I'd have no problems buying and changing the pump motor.
I have a new S9 in reserve due to an error with my supplier (they sent a broken S9 for repair, and ResMed lost it so they gave me a new S9). I travel with the S9. It has only a few thousand hours from travel use.
If I replace the Model 10 with an "autoset" what is autoset?
My nightly readings are very low (few events, all readings like AHI of less than 1.0) on my non autoset model and I don't want to introduce something not needed.
If I buy an Autoset 10 is this adding something I need or can it be disabled to I suppose, "regular set".
RE: What Is Autoset (ResMed) 10 and Can It Be Disabled?
Your elite has fixed pressure mode only. The AutoSet can automatically increase pressure in response to obstructive events. It can also be placed in CPAP mode and it will behave exactly like your elite, your choice.
A bitore flexibility with the AutoSet.
RE: What Is Autoset (ResMed) 10 and Can It Be Disabled?
OK good as long as it can be disabled and used in CPAP mode, that's all I'd need.
My readings each night are so low that I can't imagine getting them lower even with some automation.
