no the update doesn't work on mine i have the first one that was ever released.

i read that you get a notification on the machine and an email too but obviously i have not received anything. not sure if the email is when it's available or when it's installed.

Actually, I have the very first firmware version: 4600.03.4.1.0.

According to your to post, you have version 4600.08.6.1.0 (5 versions newer than mine).

My guess is your device was updated to the latest available [at the time] from the factory.

I understand the machine can't or won't update while in use, but...it can download the update OTA and then prompt the user that there's an update available to allow the update to be installed. At least that's how it should be done.

RE: AS11 AutoSet auto update
Well, my DME says according to Resmed my machine should've been updated to the latest version. The DME had the machine on in the clinic for a week (9 calendar says) and it wouldn't update. The server argument doesn't seem to hold much merit. At most an update should be pushed and installed within a week, according to the info I received.

Resmed wants my DME to RMA it so they can investigate the issue. Personally, I think it's just bad ota programming. After the warranty expires I doubt they'll care. If I want a future update, I'll probably need to pay for it like is the case with vehicles.
