EPAP treats obstructions, not IPAP.

OP’s current settings:

Min EPAP 4.0, Max EPAP 7.0.

Min IPAP 8.0, Max IPAP 16.0.

PS4.0 - 9.0.

Sleeprider: “Change IPAPmin to 5.0 and IPAP max to 8.0. Increase PSMax to 12. I’m on a phone but want to get these changes in ASAP. I still see a breath holding in the flow chart but if there is an open airway we need more PS to trigger a breath and if obstruction is present higher EPAP should help.”

I see that the increase in PSMax to 12 is addressed to the open airway possibility, but the recommended change to the IPAP settings seems unrelated to the EPAP that Sleeprider says would help if obstruction is present.

I’m wondering if Sleeprider wrote IPAP in his first sentence when he meant to write EPAP.

Ya I think he means epap as thr are no specific ipap setting unless u do the math, I’ll do it

I think sleeprider has it as an awake event, rolling over etc.
If it was my chart I would have min epap6, but 5 is fine.
min epap 5 then add 1cm at a time if there are still significant obstructive events.
max epap 15 (default)
min ps 4 (default 3)
max PS 15 (default) moving to 19 to give the machine full range of pressure available. It will only use what it needs.

Goodmorning,
So I had all my gear ready, breathe strip check, mouth piece check, water added check, eye goggles check, was watching tv and crashed without having mask   on. Woke up about 3am cursing myself and put it on thinking bad thoughts.For me the last 3 hours is where a rack up the majority of my events. needless to say I was pleasantly surprised to see I was under 5,which has almost never happened on my last leg of sleep cycle. Gas is somewhat rough but should be ok in a few hours. should I stay at this pressure a few days and try to lengthen the therapy?

Sorry for the typo. EPAP 5-8 and PS 12 max IPAP will be 20 with this. I really think you need to boost PS max to 12.

So the settings on the machine last night were
Epap 5-8
Ps 4-12
But when viewing the study it shows the older previous settings but under the stats it shows it correct. Kinda strange. Let’s see if tonight it updates it correctly.
