Will Insurance pay for second machine?
I use a Resmed S10 at home, works great for me. But I sometimes work offshore on Oil Platforms and have to travel unexpectedly, direct from my office, and would like to have a back-up second machine (Resmed Airmini?) to keep in my car just for sudden travel needs. My insurance company (Aetna Blue Cross) refuses to pay for a second travel machine. Just curious if any of you have confronted this before....

RE: Will Insurance pay for second machine?
I'm not aware of any insurance that will pay for a second machine. The devices are portable and insurance simply does not pay for multiple CPAPs. Many of us have second machines and buy them on places like Craigslist, Offerup, or Facebook Marketplace where there are good prices on machines with low or no use..

RE: Will Insurance pay for second machine?
OK, Thanks and what I was afraid of.
Every user situation is different, I'm willing to pay (for convenience sake) for a second machine but never navigated down this rabbit hole before. I'll check out your leads, Thanks!

RE: Will Insurance pay for second machine?
Others here have suggested Supplier #2 on the supplier list (as shown in the navigation bar at top of forum) as a reliable source of used equipment. I have no exp. with them (actually waiting to get my 1st device), but am interested in the topic you started so thought I'd pass this along FWIW.
