Thank you for the update, Dave.  I was wondering how the VAuto was doing vs. all those CA's.  Apparently not good enough in your case.  I know the machines that you are looking at.  If you ever come across a Lumis ST (A) it would work.  It has the EPAP range to it unlike the static ST (A) EPAP, but it is not sold in the US I think.  Also Lowenstein has a model for volume assured pressure (and back up rate), too.  There may not be many on the market of these though.

Copy and thanks. Had to trial the VAuto though to cross it off. My doctor visit was changed by my request to virtual. No sense driving there to discuss this fail. Takes to much fuel in the old minivan.

OBTW - I've been on Fedora linux for yrs and yrs now and couldn't be happier not having to deal with the winschmoes issues any more, including on this old laptop. I'd had a dual boot setup just in case but haven't needed it once.
