I would love some help figuring out why I can't stop my Large Leak issue and solve my hypopneas.
I have attached a picture from my OSCAR chart last night. Each night, since back on therapy, looks like a different variation of the chart attached.
Currently, I tape my mouth each night and ensure a snug mask fit before going to bed. I also do not wake up in the middle of the night to adjust. I have been confused by these charts.
Can anyone help with some pointers to improve the large leaks and/or the hypopneas? They clearly seem correlated as they are often one after the other.
Machine: Lowenstein Luisa Mask Type: Full face mask Mask Make & Model: Resmed Quattro FX Humidifier: separate F&P humidifier CPAP Pressure: Epap 4-20 PS 4-20; "auto" rate CPAP Software: Not using software
Other Comments: Using 45 degree angle upper body wedge (36"x36") and 4.5"soft cervical collar; 500 assured tidal vol
Mask leak solutions. Hypopneas are usually solved by more pressure support. You already have a high enough ps max though.
Your hypopneas cluster together at times, so if the mask primer doesn't work, then read this as well:
