Larger Water Tank for Airsense 10
I find that I am running out of water well before the end of night.
Has anyone experimented with ways to expand the tank capacity?

How about using an external room humidifier, like one of those ultrasonic ("cool air") units ? If the room air is humidified a little to start, the cpap can add what it needs without emptying the tank so quickly.

I have not had that problem yet, but I bought a spare tank so that when it gets really cold and the heat runs all night long I can have the tank filled up and on the bedside table and swap them out if I run out of water.

Other than a stand-alone humidifier unit, that sounds like the best solution.

I have (2) ResMed AutoSense 10 AutoSet CPAP machines
One the VA provided to me in November Serial # 232126***** made in Jul 2021 One I bought on Facebook Marketplace with 0 hours for $200.00 Serial # 232019***** made in May 2020 Both units have different water chambers: The VA provided machine has this tank: on the left is part number 37299 The Facebook purchased machine has this tank: on the right is part number 37479 The tank on the left (37299) generally uses 1/2 the water in 8 hours The tank on the right (37478) generally uses all the water in 8 hours On the box (37478) from the VA it says cleanable On a website (37478) states that the tank on the right is dishwater safe As you can see the tank on the right has a larger metal surface contacting the heating source, so therefore I assume that is why it uses more water I hope this can help someone with a ResMed 10 that is using all the water!!!

That's great sleuthing, Jarhead! I'll definitely keep that in mind next time I'm getting a humidifier tub for my ResMed!!
Usually I use my DreamStation, and I'm not aware of any different tub than the 1 tub for it. |
