Medicare Providers for Airmini Supplies
My husband has been using his Airmini for many years as his primary machine. He has recently left private insurance for US Medicare. We are trying to order supplies and are having difficulty locating a provider. When we call we are told "travel machines aren't covered" - but this isn't a travel machine - it's his primary. ResMed and Medicare regulations seem to indicate that this is fine and supplies should be covered. Anyone have any luck finding a provider who will work with US Medicare on Airmini supplies? Thank you so much.

RE: Medicare Providers for Airmini Supplies
Hope this helps with your DME problem. You may need to have usage info from the AirMini, likely from the app.
I see 9 DME within about 10 miles of the center of Piscataway, according to Medicare website. Closest first according to Medicare: 1. RE: Medicare Providers for Airmini Supplies
I was originally told by a Medicare representative that I would need a physician to write a letter of medical necessity for that particular machine and its use, meet all Medicare requirements, and then submit that to the Medicare appeals board. I was also told that it was an extremely low-probability request that would most likey be denied, especially if I had another machine to use.

RE: Medicare Providers for Airmini Supplies
Thank you for responses. I did do the Medicare search. Interestingly many of those listed don’t seem to have much in the way of supplies. Limited to one or two machine choices and support. I figured on of the bigger online folks would have more. My husbands air mini is his only machine and we just need supplies. So I’m not sure why it wouldn’t be covered?

OK if those local ones don't have much, maybe give a look at our supplier list. Give ones a call that sounds interesting. Also you may need to call your doctor unless you have the script for masks in hand.
