Interesting post, because I've had some freaky RR as well, but oddly it only seems to be sleeping on my side.

It looks as though things have improved very slightly from putting EPR to 3 instead of 1.
I'm not quite sure what this could mean though. It is still not great but definitely an improvement.
RE: Miserable Sleep 40+ Respiratory Rate, Doctor Doesn't Know Why
Increasing your EPR to 3 will help you breathe out more completely, increasing your tidal volume. That might help reduce hypercapnia and lower your respiratory rate. That might reduce your anxiety as well. Sounds like you are taking the correct actions!

"Those are falsely indicating a faster breathing rate. Id actually expect that rate to match your heart rate with a cardiogenic artifact. That is what I normally expect to see in most with a high respiratory rate. Not a real big deal as it's artificial/false."
Gideon, if you wouldn't mind taking a crack at this. I used 1.5.1's custom layout settings, thanks for that by the way. Since starting PAP, I've made an effort to sleep more on my side. Didn't think I could do it to be honest, but much to my surprise. This is on my right side. Not the first time I've seen it. One is zoomed out, obvi, and the other zoomed in. Interesting the HR is flat (assumes Wellue isn't junk but pretty sure my Fitbit would show same, and can get detailed graphs from that too). No flow limitations during these "things" (sleeping on your side works, LOL). Weird, eh?

Wait, lol. I have 3 peaks above the 0 line on the flow rate. So the machine THINKS I'm taking 3 breaths instead of just one.
45/3=Real RR of 15?(ish). I'll be danged. Assuming I'm correct here. |
