New to Cpap - Want to know more about my data

Question
New to Cpap - Want to know more about my data
Hello All,

First time posting. I am new to Cpap - been using it for 5-6 days now. Its definitely a challenge but I wanted to know if anyone could help me out with what my data is telling me. This is last nights treatment which is by far i think the best its been. I just put the card in 2days ago so my first few nights i dont have. Oddly enough the very first night i sleep for 3 hours with it consecutively. I havent been able to since.

The main things I am looking for are - staying asleep longer overall, and sensations i notice after treatment.

I am a 34 year old male from PA, I weight 170 - 6'2". I can fall asleep relatively easy, with my current settings, but i cannot stay asleep for longer than 1- 1.5 hours at a time. I constantly wake up - take a 20 minute break and reset, and then the cycle starts over.

After about 3 times of this i do give up around 5 am or so. I notice i will have a slight dry mouth and some gas discomfort certain days. I sleep on my left side mainly (NEVER back), and use a n20 Nasal mask. I have also noticed the sensation of feeling full of air throughout the day afterwards, heavy nasal congestion and what seems to be labored breathing ( like a slight chest cold, but no phlegm is produced or wheezing). My oxygen level is at 98 and resting heart rate is typically between 80-100 awakening depending on the day. Havent noticed it lower then 96.

I usually dont feel tired throughout the day even before cpap, just my girlfriend would tell me your choking and shaking in your sleep. Wore a mouthpiece for years and seems to work, but i switched to a cpap because i couldn't sleep the night through and now it seems worse.

I realize this is a massive learning curve, but i dont know how to read this data and would love some insight/help. I can provide more screenshots if necessary

RE: New to Cpap - Want to know more about my data
I think the better informed members will agree ..
You need to raise Your min. pressure to 7 cmH2O to take full advantage of EPR 3 ..
Your spending most of Your sleep time at max pressure 10 cmH2O increasing to 12 or 15 cmH2O
may help You stay asleep .. Increasing Your humidy setting may help with the dry mouth ..
You may be mouth breathing at night a chin strap or full face mask like the Resmed F-20 could help ..
Make changes You think will help and post more charts .. I'm sure more experienced folks will be
along to help ..
Best of luck ..

RE: New to Cpap - Want to know more about my data
I would raise your minimum pressure to 9cm to start, set maximum pressure to 14cm.  You have the EPR only turned on during the ramp, set it to full time at 3cm.  You also need to work on your leaks, they are higher than the CPAP can compensate for.  Try these setting for a few days and post some more charts.

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your treatment.
