OSCAR Profiles and Combining Different Brand CPAP Data

OSCAR Profiles and Combining Different Brand CPAP Data
I had a DreamStation 1 which was replaced by a DreamStation 2. I purchased a Resmed AS10 Auto to have as an alternate CPAP for backup or travel. I created profiles in OSCAR for each machine so as to keep the data separate. I use the DS2 as my primary machine, but use the AS10 for a week or two occasionally to 'exercise' it and to be sure it still runs OK. Following one of the times I used the AS10 and had pulled its data into its profile in OSCAR I subsequently  forgot to open the DS2 profile when I returned to using the DS2 and the DS2 data got loaded into the AS10 profile. As I move through the dates in the AS10 profile the daily graph data looks correct for either machine and the data appears to have imported OK.

I got thinking that having just one profile for both machines might be an easier method to collect data and maintain some continuity of the data, but I'm not sure if tracking data over a longer period of time may not give a good picture of how each machine is treating me. Both machines essentially have the same settings, but from the daily graphs it's evident they are not doing the same to treat events.

Is there any big downside to combining different brand machines under one profile or is it just best to keep separate profiles for each?

RE: OSCAR Profiles and Combining Different Brand CPAP Data
You might get away with combining different brands initially, but you are inviting problems.  This is because each manufacturer reports different parameters and in different ways or scale ranges.  The Overview page may be the first for problems to show up.  The Statistics would be the next one.

Definitely do not use the different brands within the same day.

Yup, sticking with separate profiles for the reasons you mention
