Organizing multiple Oscar Profiles
I recently obtained a replacement AirCurve 10 AutoSet and I hadn't used Oscar for a while since I thought it might not work on an M1 Max processor since I had been using it on an Intel-based Mac for a long time, Now I discovered that it does work fine.
However, when I upgraded to the latest version of Oscar, I note that it recommends that you allow it to install the data files in a subdirectory of the Library. I believe I did agree to let it install there, but it apparently was able to determine that my previous files were installed in:
iCloud Drive/Documents/Oscar_Data/Profiles
Under the Profiles, I have 3 Profiles which I named differently.
Each of the profiles had an entry ResMed_SN of a machine
Two of the Profiles have the number of my recently failed AirCurve 10 AutoSet machine and one of the Profiles had what I believe is the SN or my previous AirSense 10 AutoSet machine. So far I have not tried using Oscar with my new AirCurve 10 AutoSet machine.
Would it be a good idea to move those files to the location in the Library which Oscar now recommends upon installing rather than where I have them before trying to use Oscar with my new replacement machine?
In any case, I guess I will have to think up a new Profile name unless I were to successfully merge the two profiles using the same serial number of my previous AirCurve machine under one of the two Profiles using that serial number.
Another alternative perhaps would be to delete the whole folder
iCloud Drive/Documents/Oscar_Data/ with all the profiles and reinstall Oscar letting it put the data where it recommends while creating a new Profile.
Any suggestions on how to best deal with this data location/profile situation?
I did do several setting changes and experiments with my last AirCurve when I got it a couple of years ago, and I believe I settled on:
Max IPAP: 25
Min IPAP: 14
PS: 3.6
but it might be nice to be able to revisit those trials from some time ago rather than just erasing them all.
When I got my new machine it was set to:
Max IPAP: 25
Min IPAP: 12
PS: 4.0
since that it what I suggested to the provider when I got my last machine (based on suggestions here as a starting point) but at least in the first two nights I have used it I had more events than with the old machine so if this continues I'll go back to what I was using on my old machine.
