Any advice Appreciated

Any advice Appreciated
Hello Everyone,

I believe I have finally got my CPAP dialed in or close to dialed in. I've tried 4 different masks, tons of pressure settings, etc. I have finally landed on what I believe to be the correct setup for me. However, I still feel tired upon waking up and during the day. I have had my machine for 4-5 months. Maybe now that I have found the right settings I just need to ride it out?

Could anyone please take a look at some of my sample nights below over the past week and see if everything looks good or provide recommendations on what you would change. Thank you everyone.

FYI - I was sick last night with a cough which caused my leak rate to go up. You will see that most other nights my leak rate is fine.

Your leak rate looks fine. You'll more than likely see an improvement once you get over your cough.

Your charts/data look good. I don't see anything I would change as of this time. The big question is how you feel, and do you sleep well? If yes, I would hold steady with your current settings.

Thank you for your help OpalRose.

I dont feel the best throughout the day but that could be because I just got this setup correctly maybe within the last week or two. I've had the machine for probably 4 or 5 months. I know it takes people some time to acclimate to it. Espicially if they are trying a bunch of new settings/masks.

Sleep is also not the greatest. I am normally in bed by 8:30 or 9 o'clock but will sometimes wakeup around 3 and continue to fall back asleep and wake up every 30 - 45 minutes until i'm up by about 4:30 or 5. Sometimes i start this process around 2 o'clock.

if I stay up until 10 or 11 or even midnight I do the same thing. Always up before 5 regardless of bed time. This has just been an issue over the past 10 months or so.

Unfortunately what you describe seems to be a common theme at least here with folk on this forum. And that's including myself!

There are nights I can sleep through for 6-7 hours, but others nights and for no reason I can detect, I'll wake up (as you describe) every couple hours. The only positive is that I can fall back to sleep almost immediately.

Being honest, I'm not sure what the answer is, except to pay more attention to good sleep hygiene. Keep your bedtime as consistent as you can. Limit food and drink before bedtime. And turn off your electronics an hour before.... I know I have an issue with that last one! Smile

Anyway, good luck and keep plugging away. It does tend to get better and there are more good nights than bad.

Thank you OpalRose for the words of encouragement and also for taking a looking at my charts. I hear you on the electronics piece. I work in IT so its next to impossible to have everything turned off an hour before bed!

Here's to better sleep in 2025!
