I have a Philips Respironics System One BiPAP ASV machine.  How do I get from it my prescription settings?

Thanks

RE: Prescription settings
I think we have the clinical access info here, within the wiki.

Click here. I have it linked for you to go there. Follow directions for the one that looks like your unit.

RE: Prescription settings
Dave, was his ASV part of the Philips recall?

RE: Prescription settings
System One machines are all recalled. He would get reimbursement or a new Dreamstation 2 filing for a claim. https://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread...-ONE-USERS

Uh yep. I didn't think of that. Might want to register that system one and get it replaced.

I tried to send you a private message...

What does a new Dreamstation 2 filing for a claim involve/require/allow?

RE: Prescription settings
Philips Respironics has a website to register your system one. I used Google to search "Philips Respironics recall website". There's going to be a patient portal where you can register it, then afterwards monitoring the replacement progression.

For going any further with Philips Respironics I need to provide them with my (machine's) prescription:

Following the link you sent me:
- dial to Info
- Press
- dial to device settings
- Press

I see the following:
Max pressure: 25.0   EPAP Min: 5.0   EPAP Max: 10.0
BPM:  Auto   PS min: 2.0   PS Max: 10.0

Is this my machine's prescription?

RSVP

p.s. I can send a picture but I can't figure out how to generate the .htm file this forum requires.

RE: Prescription settings
I thought, when I was asking how to get the "prescription" for my (BiPAP ASV) machine that it would be a straightforward process.

I'm reading the thread "Prescription for BiPAP" and am TOTALLY CONFUSED!

According to this thread, it seems that sussing out "Prescription Settings" is not a straightforward or simple process.

(That may be why Philips Respironics requires the information!)

No matter what the "Titration Process" was when I went (multiple times) to a sleep clinic,
the results of that procedure were programmed into my machine
and should be accessible from that machine.

Can someone please describe accurately, on a Philips Respironics System One BiPAP ASV machine, what it takes to access the information necessary to qualify as the PRESCRIPTION for this machine.

RE: Prescription settings
AfibApnea, I previously answered that your machine settings looked like ASV, but the Philips respironics Dreamstation BiPAP Auto can be setup with those settings. They are basically wide-open and not optimized, but it can be done. The settings are:
Mode: BiPAP Auto
EPAP min: 5.0
EPAP Max: 10.0
PS Min: 2.0
PS Max 10.0
BPM: Auto

The problem with these settings is that they allow the machine full discretion to make your pressure anything, and the Philips BiPAP Auto is just not that good. So submit those settings for replacement of your machine, and we will help you dial it in to a much narrower range.
