Likely no. ASV will need a script specifically stating it, at least that's what I'm thinking.

Especially if insurance is involved, you'll also need to do an echocardiogram. And ASV will have different medical diagnostic codes.

Go to DotMed and find your machine. No prescriptions.

Hope it's ok to chime in this thread, but as someone also looking towards an ASV sans prescription...some of these are only 300 dollars or so? Is this a buyer beware situation where if An ASV is that cheap, it's a red flag? Have never used DotMed before.

On DotMed devices have various hours of usage that affects the price. Members have had good success obtaining devices through this outlet and I'm not aware of anyone being cheated. I would recommend using established sellers with a good reputation score and avoid Chinese vendors and sellers without reviews and reputation on the site. The specific device for $300 you mention is from Joan Zhang of China who is unrated. I would not buy that.

Thank you for the tips about the hours and reputation Sleeprider! I may have to go the same route as jquintero if this current machine doesn't work out.
