CA #s higher than OA #s
Pressure setting at 7 after a recent titration. Reasons for titration were: 1) CA events higher than OA events; 2) continued poor sleep; and 3) snoring. Here it is 3 months later and all that's changed is the AHI is reliably lower than 5 each night, however, central apnea events almost always outnumber obstructive apnea events. For instance, last night's sleep was only 4:11 hrs; and, during that time I had 9 CA events and 1 OA event. For now, my sleep specialist is OK with my events ratio because the total is less than 5/hr.
Prior to this latest titration, my former sleep specialist had the pressure range adjusted several times. The higher the range, the more erratic were the events. Lastly, since March 2023 Oscar has flagged 6 Cheyne Stokes Respiration flows. I also use SleepHq, which has identified the breathing pattern but does not label the flow as being CSR.
Comments please on how to reduce CA events and eliminate CSR as well as the snore concert I give each night.
