ResMed P10 weekly cleaning soaking time
There's no clear instruction from ResMed that how long should their mask soaking time should be. One document said masks should soak about 10-15 minutes, while other parts like water chamber could soak 30 minutes. I also see F&P mask suggested to soak less than 10 minutes.
So advices from reddit I saw some suggested for 30 minutes soaking for masks, while some even soak over hours and overnight. I'm really confused what should be right (for sure, the longer the better cleaning).
So for now I would soak water chamber for 30 minutes, mask parts and hose connect (AirSense 11) soaking 8 minutes then rinse one by one.
What you think am I doing right?
Thanks

I don't soak anything
I use cpap spray with baby wipes every morning to wipe out the inside and outside of my cushion, I spray inside the elbow too. The solution dries as saline. I use an antibacterial tube and distilled water and change my filters every 30 days and a hepa filter beside my bed so there's nothing dirty getting through the system

I have ResMed AirFit F20, F30, and F40. The cushions are removed and washed about once a week. Just some hot water and some dish soap works great. I then use a paper towel to dry.
The headgear gets washed the same way, but I do allow it to soak in a sink for 20 min. or so. Hot water and dish soap. And, I also use my hands as an agitator.
I also use Clorox Anti-Bacterial wet wipes on the cushions and frames as needed. They are very handy and any lingering scent dissipates quickly enough.
After washing the headgear, I use some paper towels on them and they dry quickly. The hot water also revitalizes the elastic straps and brings them back to life.
Bottom line is, that I don't overthink keeping them clean. I've never found any need for any kind of a drying apparatus for my CPAP headgear.

I don't clean anything weekly.
Nasal masks (Swift FX in this example) have two layers of silicone rubber very close to each other where they enter your nose, and that close space has to be kept clean. A Q-tip does well for that. So does some warm water and massaging the two surfaces between your thumb and fingers which pushes out the schmotz.
As far as the rest, you can wipe down with a damp cloth dampened with maybe one drop of liquid hand soap. Limit the soap so you don't have the smell right in your beak. Or use odourless hand soap.
The only issue that arises in the water tank is mineral deposits from the water which I remove with CLR or cleaning vinegar (this is a lot cheaper). Then rinse until the smell of either is gone.
There is nothing to be gained from soaking a smooth plastic and aluminum tank for half an hour. It is not getting cleaner from 30 minutes soaking any more than 5 minutes or 180 minutes. I've never cleaned the hose other than one which was unused from the purchase of a new S11. I used a couple drops of hand soap, hot water and whooshed it back and forth a bit, then cleared it out with forced hot water from the faucet.
Dry by draping over a shower rod with the open ends facing down.

Good point using paper tower to help dry. I used to use F30i which can wipe the mask cushion with microfiber cloth. But once changed to P10 nasal pillow mostly air dry only, because fingers can no longer reach inside the cushion.

Thanks for the Q-tip suggestion, the narrow gap between two silicone layers do need a good clean with that. 5 minutes soaking make sense.
