Glad to hear the happy ending. I think individuals that complain after receiving a used machine have a fairly high success rate at getting a new replacement. I have seen it both ways. DMEs are not immune from pressure from social media reviews and some just prefer that you are a satisfied customer. Most are surprised when someone can actually read the run hours.

I forgot to mention the DME pulled a new machine from stock, opened the box; recorded the serial, and modem numbers and sent me on my way. They did not set up the machine or even turn it on, but I'm fine with that thanks to this forum.....
