I've seen example from 3 to 5, but never seen anything 6 or above.
I'm wondering I've never seen anything in regarding upper settings for PS.
Thanks

Ps Range? [pressure support]
What's a normal range for pressure support range for bipap?
I've seen example from 3 to 5, but never seen anything 6 or above. I'm wondering I've never seen anything in regarding upper settings for PS. Thanks -m

RE: Ps Range?
Not sure if your machine has a slot for sd card. If it dose down load sleepyhead and then post it and someone will help you set up by what we see in your graphs.

RE: Ps Range?
On BiPAP, titrations typically start with PS 4 and are increased for flow limitation and hypopnea and decreased when central apnea appear. These are standard bilevel titration protocols. I am aware of users with PS as high as 8, more at 6 and the majority at 4. The Philips Dreamstation Auto BiPAP allows you to set a range for PS rather than a fixed number, and the machine automatically calibrates the EPAP and PS based on its programming. If you look at even your on-screen therapy report, you can see your 1-day, 7-day and 30-day average PS. This will tell you if the machine is using pressure higher than 3, or if you should consider increasing the range to 4-6. As suggested above, we can help you interpret Sleepyhead results to see if you might benefit from a different PS setting.
