EPR on CPAP same as BIPAP with pressure support of 3?

EPR on CPAP same as BIPAP with pressure support of 3?
Hi all! I'm 1.5mo into bipap and am teasing out my settings to try to decrease microarousals.

I've followed PeaceLoveAndPizza's recommendations on here and have decreased my pressure support to 4 which seems to have helped.
I may try to decrease further to 3 to see if I can get even fewer arousals.

If I do get PS to 3, does that mean I would be on a system basically the same as a CPAP with EPR turned on? Asking because I'd like to invest in a travel CPAP (if there is one with EPR), since they don't make a small bipap.

In comparing the Airsense and Aircurve mask pressure at EPR 3/PS 3, i cannot pick out a difference in how pressure changes are delivered. The hardware is identical, so other than possible changes to inspiratory timing and trigger/cycle sensitivity, the resulting therapy seems identical, and both use the EasyBreathe™ pressure transition algorithm. Although I prefer PS 4 vs EPR 3, I would not hesitate to use the CPAP pressure with EPR and EasyBreathe.

There are other important differences as well with the bilevel. In particular trigger and cycle settings, S mode, higher pressure, TI min and max, probably more I am missing.

The travel question comes up often. It would be nice to just toss a small machine into a backpack. Whether it would work for you or not will depend on how you sleep with EPR=3 and how well the travel machine works for you. You can simulate it at home and decide.
