Returning my Dreamstation at the end of this year
Do you think they would want my Amara View FFM back as well? I am not using it at all, but it is nice to have a FFM handy as a backup and Amara is my fav.

It's not like they can clean and re-dispense the mask. I would think it's yours to keep.

I would keep it unless they ask for it.   Bigwink
I am NOT a doctor.  I try to help, but do not take what I say as medical advice.

FWIW I had to return 2 units for failing compliance, a CPAP in 2015 & a BiPAP in early '17. Neither wanted the mask. And the BiPAP was a DreamStation, and they also said I keep the humidifier as that and mask was paid for during the compliance time of 3 months.

Would you want underwear that somebody wore once? . . . Keep the mask!

Not unless it was washed. FWIW, some DMEs take back the mask and have the mask sterilized. It is then given to others to use or try on (rather than opening new packages).  If you are in the hospital and are given a mask, chances are it is used although the cushion/pillows may be new.   Just so you know!

If the hospital cleans it, I guess they could bill you about $1000.00 for the usage.

This begs the question, will they give the Dreamstation Auto to someone else as a new machine? I have not seen total use of hours and we all know that itself can be modified....

I don't think we all "know" that.
