S9 Vpap S vs S8 Vpap S
Hello again everyone. I've noticed something since gettin my new S9 vs my old S8. I turned Easy Breath off yet the S9 doesn't seem like it is putting out the pressure like the old S8. My ears used to pop with the S8. Not so with the S9. My AHI and AI numbers are still the same, but it just has me questioning what the deal is. I also noticed that when putting the mask on, the safety valve isn't making the "Predator" noise. You know, the leaflets flapping back and forth. Probably worrying about nothing, but won't feel right until I ask some older, longer users who have been there.
Anyone else notice this?

I think that pressure can be adjusted with the VPAP.
In auto there is a setting called Ti . I raised it and the pressure went up significantly.

The S9 machines somehow seem "gentler" in terms of how they adjust and control the pressure. I don't know if this is better pressure regulation, slower changes, or what, but they feel somehow smoother. Other machines seem to "huff and puff" more.
Don't worry about it unless you have problems.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.
Useful links. Click here for information on the main alternative to CPAP. If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.

I was wondering if it were just me or if there really was that much difference or even if something might be wrong with the brand new machine. |
