If you download and install the new version of the Edge browser for Windows 10 and you have Microsoft Defender smartscreen enabled (it is by default), you may see issues with downloading Oscar and I'm sure other programs as well.
When you download Oscar, you will see this at the bottom of your browser:
Click on the three dot ... button and choose Keep
Your downloads will show and a box will appear stating "This app might harm your device"
Choose "Show more"
Choose "Keep anyway"
If you didn't notice the download at the bottom of your screen, or if the box disappeared already, click the three dot ... button on the upper right side of the browser. Your downloads will appear. Note: Your probably won't have a green up arrow on it. That's just telling me there is an update already.
Click Keep and see above.
Update: I forgot to mention that even after doing this, you will get this dialog box when you run it:
Select "More info" and click "Run anyway"
I wanted to learn Binary so I enrolled in Binary 101. I seemed to have missed the first four courses.
Stick it to the man, Download OSCAR and take back control of your data!
Thanks Ian. Like I didn't have enough Honey-Do projects to tackle.
