I've been on cpap for the last 10 years . I was on the Remstar Cflex then switched to the resmed10 which I felt didn't give more pressure but my stomach bloating ceased.
The cpap or apap was a success - I was waking up feeling alert. I wasn't feeling drowsy during the day. Fantastic until recently.
I suffer mainly from Clear Airway (Central Apnea?)
I hardly move in bed and I prefer to sleep on my back. I try to sleep on my side but I invariably naturally move to be on my back.
My Resmed 10 settings were set at 10.2 and max 15 for nearly a year with a AHI rating of 3. EPR 1.
Recently, in the last 60 days I noticed my arms were feeling tingly and my sp02 blood oxygen levels, according to my Wellvue consistently drop off dramatically and consistently to 84% to 73% when I'm having deep sleep. I'm alarmed. Previously, my sp02 reading had drops but it wasn't so bad and I often get perfect scores at 95 - 98 at night.
I am making arrangements to see a new sleep specialist specialising in Central Apnea - my previous doctor retired. I plan to see Dr Marcus McMahon at Ephworth Richmond.
In the meantime, waiting for my appointment, would it help if I increased my Resmed pressure setting?
I suffer from Central Apnea. Has anyone else experienced this and found a way to overcome it.
