[CPAP] support, services, warranty for overseas purchase of Apex XT auto

there's a lot of support for CPAP here.

However, being a layman (& now in my 50's), I'll need a lot
of support & the local dealer here told me no remote support
(via Internet/phone) can be as good as face-to-face support
that I can get locally: I'm not sure if this is salesmanship.

I could get Philips device here (as my spouse is an ex-staff
& we could still get staff price): for some reasons, the local
hospitals here adopt HoffRichter & Apex models: they have
an Apex sales room in the hospital that I'm seeking apnea
treatment & Apex loaned me an XT auto for 1 month &
they'll generate the reports to show the doctors how much
improvements I benefited from Apex XT auto: was convinced
initially (till I hear from this forum) that this 1-month trial
with the ENT doctors' review will be impartial as the doctors
are on government's salary (it's not private hospital but
government).

If the doctors' review of the XT Auto report shows my apnea
treatment has improved considerably (I can post a copy of the
pre & post  CPAP treatment reports here in four weeks' time
with my personal particulars erased away), can I safely say
the XT Auto will be just as good as Resmed for my case?
In humid tropical Singapore, guess I won't need humidifier.

If you have yet to purchase the APEX XT Auto, I would suggest going for the local Philips with the staff discount. At least any warranty issue is dealt locally. You would probably need to apply for health science clearance to import a medical device, especially if shipped via DHL to Singapore.  The data extracted to the OSCAR software from the Philips Dreamstation is more comprehensive compared to what the Easy Compliance Clinician version can pull out of the APEX. Since you will be managing the treatment and adjustments yourself with no "Help" from the local APEX DME if you were to buy online, many on this forum use the Philips and will be able to share with you their experiences, insights, etc.

HoffRichter data might not be compatible with OSCAR (haven't tried it) and you would need to surf online to find the OEM clinician software to read it. Heard it's a decent machine but seems to have a large footprint.
APEX with humidifier would be huge and you would need the humidifier when traveling during winter season. Otherwise the APEX CPAP alone is a good compact machine for travel to the tropics - unless the aircon is turned down real low and dry.

p/s: I have both the Dreamstation and APEX XT Auto. The former is my everyday machine. The latter is my travel machine without humidifier.
lots-o-coffee
The doctor says coffee does not affect my tinnitus and it's got lots of antioxidants....however, the after dinner drinks are a different matter altogether.

I would like to but after reading the link below, I still can't locate the
"New Attachment" option to click

http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...pnea_Board

After trying out the demo Apex XT Auto the last 7 days, my wife told
me I obviously have little/no snoring anymore while I can feel I don't
have this dozing off syndrome & hangover in the office (though after
a heavy lunch, I can feel a little lethargic but not dozing off like in
the past).

I have got the clinician version of the software but yet to install.
First, help me locate the 'New Attachment' icon/option

The screen shot shown in above link shows there's this "New Attachment" & "Choose File"
but I don't see it on my screen but in its place are "Quick Reply" & "Possibly Related Threads...".

My screen looks different
