RE: Service Required
Have you tried to re-boot? Disconnect from power source, then reconnect and turn the machine back on.

RE: Service Required
Does it still work? Take the card out to see if it work without the card.
It might cost more to repair than buying another and newer machine. On the supplier list there are couple sites that does CPAP repair and sell used machines # 27 & #28 also Supplier #2 sell new and gently used machines http://www.apneaboard.com/forums/Thread-...plier-List

RE: Service Required
Service Required seems to be the generic Blue Screen of Death for Remstar machines.
Quote:REMstar PAP machines will present an error code when there is an error. If the machine only says "Service Required", it is usually a fatal error. This will happen with water damage that has caused a short circuit. http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.php...rror_codes

RE: Service Required
If you have a humidifier, remove the water tank, then separate the blower unit from the humidifier. See if the message goes away.
Be sure to unplug the power supply from the wall for a few minutes.
Get the free OSCAR CPAP software here.
Useful links. Click here for information on the main alternative to CPAP. If it's midnight and a DME tells you it's dark outside, go and check it yourself.

RE: Service Required
Sleepster and Paul02 are right on. PR machines like to do that. It seems to happen most after the card has been read. Just unplug the power for a few minutes and try again.
