Sleep PA changing pressure, wants sleep study. Can advice from here hurt my Medicare?

She was just looking at the AHIs for that period. I'd bet on it.
I say that because SmartStart was on (the A10 bug) so there
are many places where pressure stops. The day you picked,
by coincidence there were none.

Anyway, I'll wait to hear when the machine swap is scheduled.
BTW, this is the sleep clinic not the DME who'll be looking at
the machine.

Even the image I posted shows a shocking tidal volume of only 160 mL a minute vent of 2.88.  Those are not survivable numbers for even a small juvenile male. I agree, something is drastically wrong here.  I have never seen such low respiratory flow, even with small females. Your images show a continuous downward trend.  It's pretty shocking.

Makes me glad that she's okay with a tech taking a look, loaner, warranty, etc., etc.
No bureaucratic BS. Long overdue.

Well, this was way off. The machine came from a DME. They're responsible for the look, a loaner,
deciding who pays (in use about a year -- Medicare should pay), etc.

The "Troubleshooting Dept." is supposed to call me. Hoping to hear Monday. Are there remote
diagnostics? That'd be nice.

Worst case, I'll have to bring the machine in. The DME is local -- about a half hour away.

Here's today's chart set, FWIW. Left the SD card out of the machine the day before, it's empty.

Well I can't say I've seen too many Obstructive trainwrecks like this one.

The PAP diagnosic work would need to be hands on, physical meter connections to the PAP. They should be checking airflow.

Looks like you shut off the machine multiple times (0:00, 3:20, 5:30, 7:30) but yet again you can see multiple unexplained gaps in data (1:20, 2:20, 2:30, 6:10, 7:10). A tech should be able to tell something isn't right just from viewing the data but you probably will have to take it in.

Yeah, that's my genius PA. Find the "best" AHIs, see what the pressure is, set it to that.
Never mind anything else that's going on.

Dunno about 0:00, but the next three were bathroom visits.

I'll print that day and bring it along with the machine. If they'll call me.

MWG -- that picture is terrifying. Each of those places where the pressure curve cuts out and then comes back in at the level it was before rather than the min pressure is when the machine turned itself off and then comes back on.

   

What do the zooms look like? Are you showing a flow rate curve that flattens out and disappears but you aren't showing events at that exact moment?

Is there any possibility that the power in your house is cutting in and out?

Other question is whether the power supply is cutting in and out, or whether the power brick is malfunctioning.

When I see this, it's always during big leaks, but yours shows no leaks at all.

First I have to get connected to the right people. On the last call, I was bounced from one department
to another. When I say I have a CPAP that needs to be repaired, how many departments handle that?
It's as if they don't know their own company! Anyway, I'll try again today.
