RE: SonjaAHI41 - Therapy Thread
apap is generally fine it's what most ppl seem to use, it adjusts the pressure automatically based on the obstructions the machine detects. so it won't give you pressure if you don't need it.
and sadly yes don't order stuff from the US, you will get taken for a ride between import duties and shipping. maybe this one from amazon.fr would work, shipping should be much more reasonable and no import tax. i couldn't find it on the german/italian/belgian/english amazon so sorry it's in french, but you can use your browser to translate the page, let me know if you are having issues. https://www.amazon.fr/chenpaif-Adaptateu...08FB75M7P/ Quote:Specifications:

You're welcome.
Since you are still new, you probably want to edit that and post in English since it's rule #4.

Shutting off airflow in the middle of the night
Please help.
I still have problems with the masks. I take them off unconsciously during the night, I often have a feeling of suffocation or difficulty breathing. Bought a new mask AirFit F20 for her who it's a little better than the previous mask. Since I don't have a person next to me when I sleep, I don't know what happens during the night. A few days ago I went on a trip with my friends. They woke me up often at night because of loud snoring (how is that possible ) A few days ago I went on a trip with my friends. They woke me up often at night because of loud snoring (how is that possible) I noticed at the end that the machine was no longer blowing air. Who knows how long I struggled under the mask..... Specialized technician claims that this is because air is leaking from the mask somewhere and the machine shut down. But if it's automatic, why didn't it work again on my breathing. has this happened to any of you? I am completely confused and now I am afraid that this happens to me very often. what to do, how to proceed, how to know while I'm sleeping if my air is turned off ??? . I apologize for the mistakes in English and thanks for any reply
I feel severe daytime fatigue, and severe memory/concentration issues I was treated for "depression" for more than 15 years because of this.

Better treatment settings can improve it. Large leaks shut down CPAP machines; some instruments won't restart after such an event. I hope your instrument is compatible with OSCAR. If it is, upload some evening data records here so members can help with the setting.

RE: Shutting off airflow in the middle of the night
In general, a feeling of suffocation is from too little pressure. OSCAR charts would tell us if that is the issue.
Please read the links in my signature for “Download OSCAR” and “Formatting OSCAR charts”. After you have a few days data, post a chart or two as described in the links.

RE: SonjaAHI41 - Therapy Thread
Sonja,
A few weeks ago, a Therapy Thread was set up for you to use. To make this simpler for folk to help guide you with advice, I have merged your recent thread with the prior thread. Going forward, please use this thread for all your Cpap/mask questions. Also, I notice that you posted a sleep study result in the first post. There also appears to be a summary page from your Cpap. Are you by any chance using software for your Hoffrichter AutoCpap? If yes, you can upload some recent data here for review. Your machine settings may need some optimization. Use the Attachment feature and upload a night or two of data in this thread.
