Still struggling with my Dreamstation 1
I posted a message here in 2021 re. my machine, which was part of the recall. I eventually got a replacement device, which is a new Dreamstation 1.
I still can't figure out how to use OSCAR or any other software. I now have a Chromebook and as far as I can tell, there's no way to use an SD card with it. This is a new laptop for me and it looks like there's a slot for a micro SD card.
When the company finally delivered my replacement device they failed to program it with the correct pressure, which is 12. Also, they failed to put it on "automatic," meaning the pressure would automatically adjust for me each night. I was able to put the correct pressure on it but can't figure out how to make it "automatic." But off and on during the past couple of weeks I noticed something alarming.
Periodic breathing never used to show up except once in a blue moon and when it did, it was always 1%. About a week or more back, this device said I had 2% periodic breathing for two days in a row. I tightened the mask and that seemed to help and I also got new headgear and a new mask.
But., this morning my device said it again - 2% periodic breathing. .4 AHI. 99% mask fit.
What am I doing wrong?
Is 2% periodic breathing bad?
My GP is supposed to be referring me to a pulmonologist and I"m guessing another machine, maybe even Bipap, would help but getting her staff to do the referral is like pulling teeth. It's taking forever, which is not unusual for them.
Is there anything I can do? Please help. Thank you.

RE: Still struggling with my Dreamstation 1
if your laptop has no slot for the SD card you need to buy an external usb card reader. if you type "usb card reader" on amazon you'll find loads for 5-10$.
unfortunately we need to see some data, is it really periodic breathing?
check youtube if you have issues accessing the clinical menu. but i believe you just have to hold the big dial and ramp button until the screen changes.

You'll also need to order a Clinicians Setup Manual for your machine
HERE.

I'll look for that tonight. As you can probably tell, I am technically challenged!
The periodic breathing came from the CPAP machine itself. Once I get that USB card reader I'll be able to post more info here.

RE: Still struggling with my Dreamstation 1
If the Chromebook has a micro-SD card (which is the tiny ring fingernail sized card used in a cell phone for extra memory), you can buy those for the same price as a full size SD card, and are normally sold with a full size SD card adapter "jacket" which the micro slips into. Those two items would then be used in a CPAP/APAP etc., machine. All the jacket does is connect the pins on the micro SD to the larger wider pins on an actual SD card. The micro slips into the adapter.
If the Chromebook does not accept micro SD cards, which is likely to be the case, due to their tiny hard to handle size, then you buy a SD card reader with a integrated USB cable (USB A - the old familiar rectangular plug shape or USB C - the newer smaller racetrack shape typically found as the charging port in a new cell phone) and insert the card - micro or normal SD into the little reader and the cable into a USB port in your computer. Match the USB type of cable supplied on the card reader to your computer USB port before ordering.
A bigger question: The admin for OSCAR might want to mention if Chrome OS is even supported for OSCAR. It's not Windows, Mac or Linux, it's Google's own operating system for laptops.

if you look at the top there are chromebook versions for both arm64 and amd64
and you can technically run windows apps on chromebooks but you need to know what you're doing, and there are cloud solutions as well.
