The lower I set CPAP Pressure, the lower the AHI?
I have been endlessly trying to fine tune my apnea treatment with CPAP to find a balance between comfort/tollerabilty and efficacy. I had narrowed the settings down to a range of 6 to 8.2, with an EPR of 2. This resulted in an average AHI of approx. 2.5. Well I have been lowering the pressure daily just to see what would happen. Last night I got down to a pressure range of 4-5, with an EPR of 1. The result was 3.5 hours of initial sleep with an AHI of .9 (not 9 but .9). It seems the more I lower the pressure, the better my AHI. What do you make of this.

There is not much we can say without seeing data from OSCAR. Please post a good night (low pressure) and a poor nigh (higher pressure) - with that we could give you some insight.
Apnea (80-100%) 10 seconds, Hypopnea (50-80%) 10 seconds, Flow Limits (0-50%) not timed Cervical Collar - Dealing w DME - Chart Organizing

Thanks for both of your inputs. I will try to upload the Oscar data after a few more nights at this low pressure setting. Thanks!
