Undiagnosed but trialing a CPAP
Hi everyone, this is my first post here.
Over the last few years my sleep has been as horrible as can be. I am able to sleep for 12+ hours at a time but still wake up feeling dreadful and a lot of the time it is a struggle to get out of bed / complete the most simple day to day activities.
I am in my twenties and both my parents as well as extended family members have all been diagnosed with sleep apnea. Due to the changes in peoples lives around me I decided to bite the bullet and rent an Airsense10 autoset machine to see if it would relieve some symptoms. For the first 4 days of use I felt better than I ever had before to the point I was telling everyone around me how my life has changed. After those 4 days I feel like I have pretty much returned to how I felt prior to using the machine. I understand this can almost sound like a placebo effect but I measured the difference in a lot of different ways during the time I felt better and I am very confident it wasn't a placebo.
I understand the best advice is to have a sleep study completed ASAP but due to work and other commitments I would like to see if anyone has any recommendations that can help in the short term / while waiting for my sleep study. After having a feel for what being normal felt like for a short time it is very hard to go back physically and mentally.
Any advice / recommendations about settings / the machine would be greatly appreciated.
I have attached a snip of 4 hours of my sleep as I have read that I may have unreported events. SleepHQ & airsense both say I have 2-3 events per hour
TLDR - Using APAP Machine without diagnosis. Felt great for 4 days and then stopped feeling the effects.
Thanks in advance
